Well it depends on where you want your career to go. If you have your sights set on chief someday get some public administration. You might want to start with Criminal Justice and go back for your masters in Public administration. If you aren't looking that high then look at the area of law enforcement you are interested in - there are some very specialized areas now and they may point you in the area of a major.
I don't know about all states but most you don't need a degree but it would definitely help. For the real answer to this check the requirements of the department you are interested or the state that you are interested in.
Law enforcement encompasses a lot of different areas these days and the officers I know have varied backgrounds.

Degrees are not necessary, but some college is. CJ and AJ are cool, but Business, Poli Sci, Public Administration will help you to further your career later on down the road.
You'll get all the CJ and AJ you need to be a cop while in the academy.

Honestly, I would take anything that has to do with the Social Sciences...being a cop means being able to deal and understand with people from different backgrounds. You can worry about all the "public administration" stuff when you actually have to do with it.

I would recommend a degree in "Public Administration". This will open the door for many opportunities that a "Criminal Justice" degree would not.

Criminal Justice. You do not have to go to college to become a police officer though. You need to go through the police academy. It is a tough selection process and it may help to have a degree. Good luck.

You should study law. You will need to join the police academy. Check to see what the prerequisites for the police academy are. They probably require an undergraduate degree from a university.

The animosity is going the two strategies my chum. You needless to say do no longer pay a lot interest on right here. in case you elect i can forward you many questions and solutions from Catholics that are hateful in the direction of non-Catholic Christians. between the main modern questions that includes ideas became a Catholic on right here saying to non-Catholics that we are "the moss and fungi on the tree of Catholicism" and that they are the "genuine church." I have not any animosity in the direction of any of them and have various Catholic pals. i do no longer trust a number of their ideals yet that doesn't avert me from loving them. we are all human. This comparable question has been asked approximately Muslims, JW's, Mormons, or perhaps Atheists so needless to say there are various who experience this manner. you could desire to be careful with the help of singling out a particular team of persons. no longer in basic terms is it unfair yet discriminatory in nature. Like I reported i will grant links down right here in case you so wish. in basic terms pay attentions next time formerly singling out a definite team.
