"Trois Ami(e)s" the e should only be used when all the friends referred to are feminine, if not just miss it out.
An alternate word for friend is copain/copine (for all feminine) but Trois Copains doesn't have the same ring to it!
to pronounce: trois amis= twarz-ameez
or trois copains= twar cop-ans
