People who are loved by everyone, are loving and love all. People who are hated by everyone, are hateful and hate all.

Why or why not

Ok, for the purists in the crowd.

Replace "all" and "everyone" with words that suit you. Most, majority, those they have met... whatever works for you.

It's debateable.

I guess it all goes back to the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

no, this is not true. some people who are loved by everyone are because of what they can do for those people. Maybe they have alot of money or fame. And people who are hated by everyone are not always hateful. Sometimes these people tell the truth instead of what everyone wants to hear. The real truth is that nobody is loved or hated by everyone...

Not at all. haven't you ever heard the stories of the great neighbor that was so loving and loved by all that went off the deep end and killed someone?

And sometimes those people that are hated by all are very misunderstood and in most cases suffer from severe depression because they are good people that just aren't understood by anyone.

It is never safe to generalize.

I think it would give you a tendency to love if you were loved and visa versa but is not a definite thing. We all have choices to make. I don't know if you ever read the book A Boy Called It. It was about a boy that was so abused his own mother called him "it" instead of him or his name. And he grew up to be a loving husband and father because he rose above it.

can't be - because it leaves no category for those that are loved by some or hated by some (as in not all) - gosh I hated those questions in school... if all meeps are fleeps and some fleeps are flops... don't we have better things to do with our time?

Well, no person is loved by everyone so... the question falls apart. No person is hated by everyone so that question fails as well.

no love(or hate) is not mutual.

if the relation x loves y is transitive then the claim is true.

not true. christians are hated by many and we don't hate everyone. least i don't. i'm not loved by everyone and i don't love all. false premise and poor logic.

fabian socialism never works in practice or theory. it goes against human nature.

Not necessarily. People hated and killed Jesus and he never sinned. Jesus is love and died for us.
