It shouldn't, unless it specifically says to take with water. The only thing it could do is eat away at the outer covering of it, which is done in your stomach anyway.

The soda will only have a bad effect if it also mixed with scotch. (Alcohol and medicine should not be mixed). Normally, soda has no effect. Sorry, another bad combo would be a sugared soda and an insulin pill.

no, my wife always takes the pill with a drink of soda and hasn't gotten pregnant.

For some drugs it's a no-no. With Paxil, you're OK.

I don't know if it will effect the pill but it's hard on the stomach.
