what are you talking about? Of course a man marrying a young girl is paedophilia, but of course it depeneds what you identify as a young girl cuz truth be told a 20 year old girl marrying a 50+ guy to him she is a "little girl" and that isn't paedophilia, BUT a girl lets say 16+ at least marrying a 20 year old isn't paedophilia.Paedophilia is FORBIDEN in Islam where on earth did you hear it was ok?

In very short terms in olden times women and men were married off at very young ages. It happened throughout history and throughout the world. We have to understand that the mentality of those days are far more different then our own. Like slavery I don't see anyone frowning half as much for slavery which literally takes away ones freedom. Up till the last century one would find people who were in favor of slavery, but that's just the way things were in their time. Our time is different. Yes there are still people of very unfortunate backgrounds who would sell their girls 9+ to marriages but I personally studied the matter looking into details of who usually would wed their daughter as a child. It's always very very poor people, with no education what so ever, living in conditions below reason where their monthly income is no more than 20 pence. And when you ask them why they do it they would stare at you blankly asking leave her to die of hunger is better?
Young marriages are still there from mid teens upwards. Younger than 15/16 and the majority of the mainstream Muslim community would frown and speak it's mind out openly against the matter. So you see yes there are cases, yes they still exist. No they are not favored but most Muslims. Mainly they are within very poor countries where till now the pre Islam mentality is very strong (when a girl is born ... well lets just say they wouldn’t be as happy as if it had been a boy).
I'm being honest about the facts of the matter. And I’m sure some Muslim brothers and sisters will have a go at me. But I know what I'm talking about. If anyone needs more detailed info I'm ready to answer anything.

I think in this society we are brought up that that is wrong. In my belief its wrong, but you have to remember different cultures teach different morals. If the girl is 15 or older I feel she is mature enough to make the decision. In early American culture people wed @ 13 and up. Who are we to say that the Western beliefs are the only one that is right. The Bible holds many examples of older men with younger women. Take the book of Ruth, Boaz was much younger, yet clearly this was a union blessed by God. Look @ the age difference between Abraham and Sarah. I feel its all in the eyes of the beholder. There are creepy old men who just want to be perverted then there are good hearted men, whom as a husband truly wants the wife to grow up with him around to make sure she is comfortable.

hmm go back in time like ten years ago in the USA it was legal for a 13 year old to marry anyone and in the old old days.. they where considered to be the right and duty to take a girls virginity by the father that was the law.. so it is just a matter of what is Normally in the culture your in really we can not make a judgment on something that is not under owe morals or standards!

so really it is a matter of what is right for where, you are at the time. also remember that most Western country's are able to charge there citerens for actions done in a nether country and even if it is legal in that country but not in the home country they can have you jailed for it if your court doing it!

I work at a public school. We have many young Muslim girls ages 14 - on up. We know for a fact that there have been young girls married off with men in their 50's. We are told that it is custom in Samalia and other Muslim countries.
So why do we tolerate it here? Everytime we try to bring in a government agency for child abuse and child rape, we get blocked by the gov't and Muslim agencies. Yes, here in the United States.

HINDUTRINITY whats your problem with jews ah? the question wasn't about jews but about muslim, so don't twist it, and answer what you've been asked, or don't answer at all if you only have racist things to say. jewish people have lived in britain since 300 hundred years ago, and i don't think they've bothered anyone. its very rare thing in todays' judaism to find couples marry under the age of 16. religious jews might do matchmaking but at least nobody sells his daughter to someone else like many other places in the world where they do. i think that the existence of religions cause many problems in the world, but of all the religions, judaism is definetly the purest. watch what you say.
now for the question, its difficult for me to believe that something like that happened in the uk, but in undeveloped countries you can find this happening alot, not only with muslims. in the far east you have terrible children slavery, so we can buy cheap... it all lays in education. peace everyone.
