When the KJV was written, the translators, commissioned by King James, had only one goal.
To change the head of the church from the pope to the king.
That is why they didn't get rid of the trinity, hellfire, immortal soul, and many of the other false teachings of the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church admits the bible doesn't teach the trinity, yet it does. So do what most people refer to as the Protestant Church.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is not coming for one denomination. He is returning for those who do His Will. So whether you are Protestant, Evangelical, Adventist, Catholic and you have the love of God in your heart, you will go to heaven.
There are chosen people in every denomination. I do have a problem when someone says that:
"Other Christian denominations are not true churches...but merely ecclesial communities and therefore do not have the means of salvation" (Pope Benedict)
Only God saves.Revelations 14:12 says"here is the patience of the saints; those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" If you have these qualities, The Lord will save you.
According to Pope Benedict, if you are in another "community", you will not be saved.
So, according to his recent statements, Catholics are the ones who think protestants are going to hell.

You KNOW I've always wondered that myself. I think the fundagelicals think unless you're 'born again' you ain't getting into heaven. I don't know where they hijacked the idea that only ' born agains' were gettin and the rest of us weren't because apparently we all believe , if we're Christians, in Jesus why would some get more special priveliges than others in heaven.
Never have understood all the hatred for the Roman Catholic churches with the Born Agains, unless they fear that the Pope truly is infallible.
For the Born Agains byte me.

It's the mirror efect: they tend to see in others their own issues and whatever is wrong with them. It's sort of a denial state, due to they can not accept they're wrong so they project their evilness onto others.
And this is a cientific fact.
Besides, a fanatic never is going to accept that he/she has a twisted version of reality, wheter belongs to catholic church, judaism, muslim, etc therefore he/she will only think on his/her own vision is the good one. And that's why all type of fanatics are just wrong.

i can in basic terms talk from my adventure... I grew up a fundamentalist. All I had became church, no song, no movies, no existence- in basic terms fundamentalism, fundie chruch and fundie chruch college. i ought to quote the bible interior and out and discovered to no longer ask questions approximately what you're meant to have self belief, in basic terms stick to blindly. once I made the 'mistake' of asking questions then i became being 'rebellious.' Then I sat up and reported, if that's what existence is meant to be then i do no longer elect to stay it. i elect to no longer be like this, and if i'm criticized so be it, yet i can't stay how somebody dictates, yet how I dictate. Now i do no longer provide a rat crap what human beings think of. i'm no longer narrow minded. i think of Jesus Christ became a large instructor, and the son of God- comparable to i'm the daughter of God...and anybody else. I incredibly have got here across that those fundamentalist narrow minded persons are the main hypocritical, judgmental, hateful human beings I incredibly have ever met. it incredibly is strictly why i think of on my very own. it incredibly is the reason I incredibly have chosen to maintain my ideas open and picture against mainstream. it incredibly is fairly uncomplicated to allow somebody else to do the thinking for you, it incredibly is why fundamentalism is enormous-unfold, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, in case you do your examining, it incredibly is strictly what CHRIST became against. Jesus Christ became no longer a fundie.

I'm not a fundie, but I am a former Catholic who's crossed over to the Protestant side. The two biggest things I would challenge a Catholic about would be:
1) Repetitive prayer
2) Praying to anyone other than God (such as Mary and the saints)
The Bible could not be any more specific about avoiding those two things, and Catholics do them anyway.

Regardless of the title on the door where a person attends church, the Bible says that if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. They have chosen the better way.
If a person does not believe (and act) that way, they have cosen not to go to heaven. There is only one other option.
Remember, it is what the Bible says, that counts.

Fundamentalists believe EVERYONE is going to hell. They aren't very bright. They actually believe that a 600 year old man built a wooden boat that was capable of housing over 20 million species - including tyranasaurus rex. They believe a man lived inside a whale and that the world is only 6000 years old in spite of obvious evidence that it is billions of years old. And they believe that its ok to hate, judge, kill, even though Jesus told us just the opposite.

hmm i do believe that the catholic church is full of errors.
just because its been around longer doesnt mean its all the more right.
it means its had more time to get corrupted....
Trinity is not a doctrine in the bible.
Rosary - the bible says not to speak repetitious prayers.
confession - the bible says ask god for forgiviness, not man
prayer to mary/saints - the bible says not to speak with the dead.
pope - is a policitical based position, and with all his riches he refuses to sell any of his precious jewelry to feed some starving children or house some homeless. *shrug* (theres a verse that says its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter kingdom of heaven)
