I believe this war has lasted longer than WW II,if I'm not mistaken.

No WWII lasted from 1939 to 1945 - 6 years.
The Iraqis are at fault because they are the ones engaging in the sectarian violence. If they could give up their stupid sectarian petty attachments and learn some basic tenants of civilized society like basic human rights, religious toleration, there would be peace.

It is a complex situation very very different to WW2. It is religious in nature and therefore a strong cultural and socio-economic factor should be taken into account.
If you are looking to "blame" I would have to say the Yanks and the Brits must take the lion's share of the way Iraq is currently. An invasion grounded on a false premise (WMD) followed by an occupation that was not thought through at all(example: "What do we do after we capture Baghdad? Derrrrrrrr hang around?")
