These year corollas are the most difficult to get to. They are on the underside of the vehicle, close by the firewall.

There is usually a cross member that supports the engine that is in the way.

What do you mean start???
Did it
#1 turn the key and nothing happoned
#2 you turned the key a click happoned but no start
#3 you turned the key the starter engaged and no start
People dont relize that you can have lights and all the rest but not have eneff voltage to turn the starter.
If a battery has 10.5 or less the starter will not turn.
I first would have the battery checked.

To find the starter, follow the positive wire from the battery, it is connected to the starter.

how did you know if your alternator is responding if your car don't start up?

when was the last time you change your ignition cap, ignition rotor, cables and spark plugs?

if you hit the key and engines try to start and it wont then is nothing to do with the starter or alternator

only if the engine revs up really slow then you need to replace your battery but in most times you will heard a clicking sound when batter goes dead
