I'm starting to feel the pain, the numbness has worn off, I need to ask some questions from people who know. I'm hungry, what should or can I eat? Can I drink my beer, lol? I know I can't smoke, i'm not going to do that even though I want a cigarette really bad They gave me hydrocodone and amoxicillin, I should go ahead and take those to help the pain, mainly i just want to know what I should eat and if I can drink my beer.

Do not drink any alcoholic beverages while taking hydrocodone or any narcotic. As for food, a liquid diet for a day or two is advisable. Then you can try SOFT food! You do not want to pull the blood clot out or you will risk a painful condition called dry socket. If you are really unsure, call your dentist.

Sorry, no beer. At least not if you are taking the pain medication. I had my wisdom teeth out last year, and I spent a couple of days drinking yogurt smoothies and things like that.

My best advice is to avoid sharp foods (say, Wheaties) or things that will fall into the hole and get stuck (like scrambled eggs).
