The beach or a public park could work. How many people are you planning to invite? Are you talking about locations for the wedding or the reception? Which is really more important to you? Are you just looking for a place to party or are you interested in a special place to hold the ceremony, which afterall, is the most important part of the day?

If a family member has a large backyard you could have an outdoor wedding. They are inexpensive and nature can be your decoration. If no one has a large enough yard check around your town or nearby towns. We have a large fountain in our town with a gazebo and tent that the town rents out for weddings. Check with your local VFW or American Legion some do rent to non-members or only require that have a service member in the family.

Where do you live and what's the budget? Not expensive is different for each person.
