No. You are not in trouble. There's not a rule that if you are a Christian you have to listen to a certain type of music. On the contrary, there is freedom. The book of Romans talks alot about that. It doesn't specifically talk about music, but in it you may find freedom and answers. All I can say is, it's between you and God, and it's not for other people to condemn you. Just let God lead you. If something is not right, He will show you, but otherwise, enjoy Him and His freedom. I personally love the Lord with all of my heart. I'm into praise and worship and Christian music, but I can rock out too. It's not a problem for me. But don't take my word for it, follow God and you'll be fine.

Many blessings.

Music tends to affect both sides of the brain. What goes in, comes out. What are the words saying? This is the first concern. Also some of the music (like drums) is thought to summon demons, and there is also back masking.

I listen to all kinds of music and enjoy some songs from every genre. I simply choose to listen to songs that make me feel good, make me laugh, uplift me or some that seem to have a message of life in it.

Music is powerful. There were times when I was going through my divorce that I blasted the country music, lol, and when a song would get me all choked up I would not turn it off I would turn it up.

I think Jesus likes many rock groups music.
I'm prob.the only 45 yr old Christian women who likes hard alternative rock music. My husband thinks I'm nuts and need to grow up.
I'm having a lot of head banging fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF_YTSP6cvw

It is not the type of music that is "un-holy"..you have to look and see what it is feeding your spirit. Is it edifying? You have to feed your spirit in order for it to conquer your flesh. If you have two wolves which on will win? obviously the one you are feeding. right? So it's not the type of music, it's the substance of it...

The music isn't 'unholy'. The people who say it is are.

only sin is unholy
It's the content of the song, not the style.

It's the content of the song, not the style. Stryper & DiGarmo & Key were very popular Christian groups who fit in with the style, but their message was of Jesus Christ.
