Nope but I do find it entertaining : )

He isn't saying all RELIGIOUS people do it...just the religious NUTS. (I did good in reading comprehension) Those who respectfully state their views are fine. The crazy ones... well all I can say is life would be so boring without them.

Isn't that the point of the thumbs up and down system here. If you agree with the argument or think it is a good case you give it a thumbs up. Vice versa on the thumbs down. And I suppose atheists don't do the same thing when a theist posts a religious answer.

Apparently you don't understand what turning the other cheek means? We are allowed to disagree. Now if I said that ALL non-religious nuts thumbs down also, then I could probably be guilty of not turning my cheek and also being hypocritical. But I wouldn't say that because making generalizations is just ignorant. Jesus loves you by the way!

God Bless.

I get thumbs down all the time even when my answer is respectful and reflects only my opinion based on my experiences and my feelings-
thumbs down are prevalent everywhere but on this subject it's worse it seems to me. I don't expect anyone to turn the other cheek, but I give and expect respect, honesty and an intelligent knowledgeable discussion NOT a dissertation on the subject.
Keep an open mind, be kind, lead by example

No more than that it surprises me that the atheist nuts just give hostile comments to and question or answer and give thumbs down to all comments they disagree with. This gets us no where and does not answer questions or spark debate it only raises hostility. It also makes everyone ( on both sides) look like a fool.

We dont give thumbs down becasue you disagree with us. How rude to do that. We give thumbs down for ppl that show others such lack of respect, in allowing both sides to give an opinion. YOu are free to speak and we have that right too.
And yes, we turn the other cheek, but if you dont know the Bible, you surely dont understand what that means.
Turning the other cheek over and over in love and forgivess is Gods way. But, God dosnt say to let someone keep slapping us. GOd does not require us to be a doormat to anyone. So no matter what you do, we must forgive and still pray, but not just stand there and take more and more words of abuse from you. God values us too much to require any of us to be a doormat to anyone. He gives us precious peace and joy, and we arent to give that up for anyone. Thats just not a requirement.
Study the Bible and you will see , it does make sense and it all fits together just right. God bless you in your serach to find God. Seek and ye shall find. and all will be added unto you.

What does turning the other cheek have to do with giving a thumbs down?

Excuse me, train0896....are you saying that if Christains express their own ideas to questions and they click the down-thumb to the answers they disagree with, they aren't really Christains and are not turning the other cheek by agreeing with answers they really think are not correct?

I thought everyone was encouraged to express their own ideas. Why are you calling Christains "nuts" when they are expressing themselves just as YOU are?

God listens to every view point thumbs down or up....what is your views does it make a positive point of interest for others. Does it benefit the cause of Christ? Religious nuts! We all are considered religous nuts to the world and its forum. Is it a matter of agreement or just saying? God is the one who cares and some of us are a part of him, so we care. Turn the other cheek and you may get knocked out? we come from the life of hard knocks...prejudice,racism,critcized,lied on,oppressed, rediculed, misunderstood. yet you say turn the other cheek.....is God soft and is Jesus weak...we are his children and we take after our father. He resides in us...and he is with us daily. We give him praise and honor for what he does in us daily. We tolerate and legislate because of him...we have the power given and orchestrated by the CEO of life. The word of God is quick and it pierces man's spirit and brings down the strongholds of a mans intent..It makes the world soft so we are able to tolerate it. God sees so we are able to see. We are his...his chosen.

Can you prove your allegation?
Show those statistics, please.

Are you really into logic, science, and statistics? Then put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise,......well.....

You have no basis in fact for your accusations. It's mere speculation.

I find it interesting that you're so concerned with what other people think.

I also find it interesting that, although you say you are open-minded, that you stoop to the childishness of calling other people "nuts."

"Turn the other cheek" is a very Christlike thing, but unfortunately, there are people who use it as an excuse to abuse or attack Christians.

To be specific, they'll do something insulting or offensive to Christians (deliberately), and then tell the Christians (in an almost pompous, lecturing fashion) that they should just shut up and take it because Jesus said to turn the other cheek.

Well, that's not what Jesus' words were ever intended for. He never intended them to be used as weapons that people throw at other people after mistreating them.
