You can get any version of Windows from anyone you want as long as:

1) It's not installed on any other computers (although some retail versions will allow several computers so you will need to check the exact version and the policy for it).
2) It didn't come with a pre-built system. It must be a retail version in order to have ownership of the operating system transfered legally without the PC.

As a warning, Windows Vista can only be activated a set amount of times (I believe it's three times). After it has been activated that many times it can no longer be activated and a new copy must be purchased. Re-activation is required anytime the Operating System is reinstalled or after any major changes to system components.

Yes its against copyright. Microsoft wants you to puchase your own copy...

You can still install it but the product activation genuine software check may not let you use it for long due to another copy of it already activated...

HAHAHHA of course it's illegal. DON'T do it cause Microsoft will soon find out and block your PC. And if you do install it, you won't be able to use any microsoft software. And, in what way would you copy the disk? Believe me, that won't be possible with nero, as it has very special copyright protection.

Not legally, no. And I'd wait on Vista for awhile, anyways. It's too much of a resource hog and they need to get some of the bugs worked out.
