When you apply for aid using the FAFSA, they will first offer you ny aid you do not have to repay. If thre is still a "need', you will be offerred student loans.
FAFSA does not help with scholarships. That is soemthing you have to do research on oruown for.

The FAFSA is the only application for federal student aid. Some specific colleges have separate scholarship applications for institutional aid. Check with the school's admission office to discover whether or not there is a separate application for scholarship.

The others are correct. If you still need additional funding, you would turn to alternative loans. They WILL have a separate application process. Most you can apply online and esign. Use these as a LAST resort.
