maybe some things that a secular view wouldnt consider demon possession, would be by a religeous person ... like narcolepsy .. or tourettes ..

I believe in God and I have never been possessed or ever seen anyone else possessed who believes in God. In fact most Christians have no fear of Satan. They only fear being away from God. Satan is the tool to either bring you closer to God or pull you farther away. But the choice of Christians is always there own not Satan's choice. The Bible tells us this fact.

I have heard a theory that people who have split personalities and other pyschotic problems are demon possessed. I don't think it's a situation where one believes in God or doesn't. I think it comes down to whether some one is demon possessed or isn't.
