I've tried tape, head coverings, humming instead of talking. But I'm addicted to alwas hearing my thoughts out loud. It ignoys me and I'm sure it ignoys God. He said we're accountable on judgement day for every word we say unless we repent. That frightens me and wish I could stop carrying on conversations with my self.

What's the harm? God reads hearts and knows your thoughts, so whether you verbalize them or not doesn't matter. You can't hide from God through silence.
If it bothers you personally, try wearing headphones and listening to music or study CDs. Sort of drown yourself out.

I talk to myself too. I'm an only child. There's nothing wrong with talking to yourself, we all do.
And we will be judged by God on judgment day for all of our actions, but we are still sinners and will sin and will say things that are not right on occasion. Paul said that once you're saved, you should strive not to sin, and should not feel guilty.

Try listening more, and listening intelligently so you can relate to the person you are listening to. It is difficult to do two things at the same time and so you will stop the jabbering as you concentrate on someone else for a change.

But if still you want to be quiet.....Write down alot of your thoughts...you'll talk less.
