the pope signing the paper that christian denominations are not "real churches"

I mean how unfair is this? Is he calling christians liars?

Why does he get to choose whose right and whose wrong? Hes not God.

He simply reaffirmed what has been the Catholic Church's position all along. I don't understand why so many people are surprised by this.

No He isnt God and it doesnt matter what he or anyone else thinks. The only one we hear and listen to is God if we are christians. just how it is.
But, the pope already plays God in many ways. Just one example When the pope says he can offer absolution, that is not Biblical. God says that only He can ovver absolution to us. We can forgive ppl for hurting us, but we cant forgive ppl for all their other sins Only God can do that. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we need a middle man. So this is not the only example of the pope playing God. Like telling us we can pray to the saints, thats contrary to the Bible. We only pray to the Father thru Jesus the son, period. ITs clear on that.
We dont look to religious leaders for truth, we look only to God and all that we hear and learn, we must check out against Gods word to know truth from error We cant serve and obey God if we dont know His word. So lets get started today to learn more and stay in that place with God.
walking in the spirit.

The Roman cult is not Christian... for many reasons... the big one is that they do not teach The Truth of The Salvation Message... in fact their priests and pope are forbidden by their law to do so... even the pope himself dose not know if he will make it into heaven or not... ALL True Christians know for certain that their Salvation is assured and that they will enter Heaven.... No one of the RCs, who only knows the teaching and"tradition" of the Roman cult, will make it into Heaven.

He may not be God, but he claims to have that power on earth. When a man claims to have the authority of God on earth, what can you expect?
Anyone who claims to be in the place of God on the earth, (his title, "Vicarius Filii Dei," meaning Representative of the Son of God), tends to have free roam to say whatever they want to, all in the name of God.
I really don't see what difference it makes, though, whether or not the Pope says that Christian churches are not "real churches." Let him say what he wants. As for me, God is my Judge.

As usual, the secular news has gotten it wrong again. Following is copied from an online catholic news source:

Noting that churches and ecclesial communities not yet fully in communion with the Catholic Church “suffer from defects,” the doctrinal congregation acknowledged that “elements of sanctification and truth” may be present in them.

“It follows that these separated churches and communities … are deprived neither of significance nor importance in the mystery of salvation,” the congregation said. “In fact, the spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as instruments of salvation, whose value from that fullness of grace and of truth which has been entrusted to the Catholic Church.”

I think about Christ coming back for us soon.....

Forget the pope.....he's just a fallable man.

What he says has no bearing on my eternal soul....I am saved by the blood of the Lamb with or without Rome.
