I love him, and he loves me, but everything is not as, well, bright as before. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get him to realize how much I mean to him, and he means to me? And that we still have something good going on?

Thanks in advance.

Every relationship goes through this dimming. You have to be creative and do new and different things. Find new fun ways to communicate. Play games. Like on a Saturday or Sunday just watch movies together, or whatever. Spend quality time and talk about everything. Once my hubby and I spent a whole weekend where we could only communicate with letters L O V E. Chose your own word if you want but it's a fun thing. Goodluck...

When you "fall in love" with someone, the euphoric feeling lasts on average of six months. Loving someone for the long haul is where the work comes in. Happily ever after is strictly for fairytales. Now is the time in your relationship when you get to see your significant other's true colors. You guys are no longer on your best behavior. Don't make the mistake of taking each other for granted now. Pat yourself on the back for recognizing this and continue to be the supportive understanding girlfriend you've been in the past. Actions speak louder than words.

If the first time you met/went on a date was romantic, re-create the event! Dress up, and remind him why he fell in love with you in the first place. Try something new to learn new things about each other, give yourselves new things to love about the other. But sometimes, people fall out of love, and if you do, it's best to let it go. = )

maybe we are at an age instead of letting our emotion guide us, we use or brain to guide our emotion. And then who is to say everything will turn out the way we think it should be. Send him a rose, a rose not a dozen.

dead-spirit? Wow, i think if you have to work at it it is a marriage. Are you with him becuase of love or are you with each other to live the rest of your life with someone? If you are after the spark, chase it, wherever it is. If you want commitment with or without spark, than don't wory about it and enjoy the company.
