Ah, fascinating question. There is a rub in place at the start, however. Evolution and atheism really have zip to do with each other. You're making a joke, yes? In Darwin's "Origin of the Species," etc. etc., gods and all that play no roles. And the definition of atheism is unbelief in the existence of any god--be it Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Celtic, Scandinavian, Jewish, Islamic, Christian...

If that was true, I think Christians would be more likely to believe it. They seem to prefer made up tales rather than information obtained from scientific study.
