there is this totaly cute puppy at the pound,and i realy want her but the tag an her cage says dachshund.she has the body of one but she is all white with a brown spot here and there,and dachshunds arnt white.she is a puppy about 7 wks old and about ankle high.so does anyone have an idea of what els she might have in her?plz help!

It is a mutt. It is not 2 different breeds, it is probably more like 10 to 20 different breeds in there. If she is cute and you want her get her.

Apparently, Dachshunds have the 'piebald' pattern. If a dog is a piebald, he will be mostly white with a few patches of a color other than white. Brown and black patches are common in piebald-patterned dogs. Go to http://www.akc.org and check out info about Dachshunds. Click the "Breeds" tab on the sidebar, then check a list of AKC-reconized breeds. The list is alphabetical so look for dog breeds that start with a "D". Good luck with the pup.

It's hard to say without a photo, but dachshunds do come in many colors! Some do have white in them. Dappled dachshunds have very interesting mix of colors and variety.

Is she hyper? Well, of course she is hyper, she's a PUPPY! Well, I think that she might have some jack russell terrier in her!

My friend has a pure bred dashhund who's coloring is just like this- he is deaf but I don't think it has anything to do with his coloring.
