I'm particularly interested in those who post in R&S. I mean if the thoughts and opinions of others don't matter to you or if it just upsets you that people bash whatever group you identify with then why do you come here?

For me, I feel like a mouse in a cage that's been trained to hit a bar for food and then they change it to electroshock. Eventhough I keep getting shocked I still keep hitting the bar.

I am here to correct the misinformation about Judaism and also give information to those who really want it.

I think people are here to discuss ideas and what they believe to be the "truth". I didn't put it in quotes to mock it; I put it in quotes because so many different people claim to know the truth and yet the different truths combat oneanother. It is then that I fall back on what I know: the Bible. I found it interesting that this verse came in my email subscription in which I get several Bible verses each day.

But before I give it, remember that three main religions believe that the Old Testament of the Bible is true: Christians, Jews, and Muslims. It is fitting then, that this answer comes from the Old Testament. Considering that God is a God of truth and not opinions, hear this.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Well, primarily I like to post questions and answers here for the whole exchange of ideas format. It leads to some good discourse. It also encourages me to study so I feel equipped to answer questions and won't be caught off guard.

Also I feel compelled to stand up for what I believe my religion is all about. A lot of other people can skew its meaning and misrepresent. I'd much rather people have a positive view of Christians, so I try to be nice and respectful but still stand up for what I believe.

Strangely, this leads people to assuming I'm an atheist. Simply clicking on my name and reading my profile (or actually reading my Q's and A's) will show you I'm not, but I guess that's too much to ask.

Shocked. Maybe I post here because I'm so thicked skinned. I really don't get offened that easily and I don't care what people say. I mean, some faceless person who tells me I'm going to hell actually makes me laugh. I come here to laugh and for the occasonal great question.

I prefer to think that hitting my bar shocks the other mice.

One reason is that I like to know what other people think -- especially people whose beliefs are different from mine.

Another reason is that, when I explain and defend my beliefs, it actually makes me more solid and more grounded in them. If that makes any sense.

I come here to post good, wholesome questions about Scripture.

And to get a dose of reality....to remind me of how I used to be......so that I can run back to the Lord where it's alot safer.
