My opinion of Benedict and the Catholic church is somewhat lower than the bottom of the Marianas Trench. This organization sheltered and protected child molesters. It promoted child abuse by shuffling known molesters from one parish to another so they could continue their crimes. They aided and abetted the practice of child sexual abuse and destroyed hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. They simply used lies to cover a hideous truth and punished the innocent.
They also deny women's rights and gay rights. The Catholic church is the most repressive and oppressive organization on the face of the earth. Now they want to further separate themselves from all other religions. They'll be once again the "exclusive private club" they were before Vatican II. Fine, I could never be associated with an organization that promotes child sexual abuse and oppresses both women.

Child predators. . .is that the best you can come up with? In the last month, I have read accounts of child molesters in 3 Baptist churches, a police officer, a fireman, 2 child welfare workers, 8 teachers, 6 step-parents, an uncle and 4 friends.
How is it you can claim that Priests are the bad ones? Do you realize that a child is far more likely to be molested by a member of their own family than a Priest? or do you only care about joining the "Catholic Bashing" party going on?

that's often blanketed in loose speech. And he can say in spite of he needs. while people generalize and positioned down an entire team like that, interior the top, they are the only's that look undesirable for asserting it. i do no longer see that he has a lot impression left in any respect, incredibly. everybody is finished with prepared faith telling them a thank you to stay, together as they wreck damn close to each regulation at the back of doors. They see them hiding from the information while it is composed of their own "sins" and then come out roaring that homosexuals are a hazard? To what, they could't say for confident... they say "classic marriage", yet it particularly is the variety of load. Divorce costs destroyed "classic marriage" a LOOOOOONG time in the past... and that they do no longer seem to have a situation with permitting divorce, so as that they should STFU approximately who else is getting married.

The Roman Catholic Church has always been very clear in their intent to have dominion and supremacy.
A Religious Power-Daniel 7:11,25 will speak 'against the most high'. Would make great claims and issue great decrees. It would even claim authority to change divine Law, including the day of worship. Verse 21: The little horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them.
Religious Persecution:
-In the Middle Ages, millions of Christians died; they suffered horrible deaths in dungeons, others were burned at the stake.
-The Early Church would be the one changing God's Law. "Sunday is our mark of authority...The church is above the Bible, and this transition/transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." (The Catholic Record,written9/1/23)
-"God himself is obliged to abide by the judgment of his priests,...the sentence of the priest precedes, and God subscribes to it"(Handbook:Dignity and Duties of a Priest p.27)
Will we be obedient to God or will we follow human tradition. Will we do what God says or what Religious leaders enforce; contrary to the Word of God. It is time to choose who has our loyalty.
God's chosen people are found in every church, Evangelical, Protestant, Catholic, Adventist. Our Lord is not coming for one denomination, He is coming for those who do His will.
Revelation14:12"Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus"
"To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word(the Bible), they have no light of dawn"Isaiah 8:20

As usual, the secular news has gotten it wrong again. Following is copied from an online catholic news source:
Noting that churches and ecclesial communities not yet fully in communion with the Catholic Church “suffer from defects,” the doctrinal congregation acknowledged that “elements of sanctification and truth” may be present in them.
“It follows that these separated churches and communities … are deprived neither of significance nor importance in the mystery of salvation,” the congregation said. “In fact, the spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as instruments of salvation, whose value from that fullness of grace and of truth which has been entrusted to the Catholic Church.”

It's true. The Pope is only reiterating what has always been.
The Catholic church is the one true Church of Christ. It is the original Church.
The slam about child predators is unfair and uncalled for. I could post multiple articles about Protestant clergy sexual abuse as well as teachers, coaches, parents etc.

Today Benedict has separated the Catholic church from all other believers. He has put the church on a cultic path. He has removed the importance of Christ and His sacrifice on the cross and substituted ritual and religious observance. How can he say that ONLY Catholics can access the salvation of God. The Bible makes it clear that salvation come by faith in Jesus Christ. Nothing else can be put in that place and be considered Christian. By this proclamation Benedict has changed the path of the church from Christian to that of non-Christian cult.. Jim

Sounds good to me. I converted to Catholicism in 1999 because I had come to believe the same thing.

I feel sorry for him. You can tell that he really needs attention, and what better way than this, to start a huge controvesy about nothing but his own need for superiority.
