Talk with your vet. He might have some better meds for you to try. Also, remember that most allergies in dogs are cause by wheat and the first step is to change their food.
My little boy has seasonally allergies. He weighs 18lbs and takes 25mgs twice a day for about two weeks in the spring.

My vet told me that it should be one pill for every 15 pounds, which means I can safely give my 60-pound bulldog 4 pills!!! However, he also said to go ahead and start him on just 2 at a time to see how he deals with it and go from there. So for your dog, I'd say half a pill ought to be a good starting point.

Ask your vet before you give any medication to your dog. My dog is 10 pounds and my vet told me to give him 12.5 mg's (half of a regular adult pill) for his allergies.

Call the vet and ask them how many you should give her. If he diagnosed the allergies he will have all the information he needs.

where did you get the Benadryl from? Is it specifically for dogs? One benadryl for an 80 lb dog if it's a human benadryl. If you got as you should from the vet he/she will tell you the dosage.
