I hurt my back in May and went to the doctor for it . I was put out of work by the doc. I was then sent for two MRI's. After this the dr. sent me to a neurosurgeon who said that right now he could not determine what was on my spine (possibly a tumor or a blood clot , he said. He told me he wanted another MRI in 2 months. He kept me out of work for awhile until I pleaded with him to let me go back as I was denied short term disability because my benefits did not kick in till my 91st day of employment. ( I was 3 days shy of getting them when I hurt my back) . I have become incontinent (both ways) but I went back to work for a few days and promptly peed my pants at work. I was mortified. I went to work the next day and kept getting cramps from (need I say It). So I left work early and have been calling in sick ever since. I am nervous to call the dr. since I pleaded with him to let me back. Now I am really nervous that I will be fired. Plus I am scared of what's happening to me. Help!

If you were employed before you took your present job, the state may count that time to qualify you for disability/workers comp. It's worth asking at the unemployment office, or social sec. office. If you were unemployed, maybe you can qualify for Medicaid to cover your medical care.
If you're incontinent, you may have a spinal or nerve injury. Get to a doctor ASAP! if the old dr. still doesn't know what it is, find another doc.
Good luck.

If you hurt your back while at work, then you need to be on workman's compensation. Also, you need to find out from the doctor what time frame is involved in your being incapacitated by this and how this is affecting you physically IN WRITING and take that to your employer. Whatever happens, don't be endangering your health. You might need a second opinion with another doctor.

I don't think you can get unemployment for it. I suggest that you apply for disability again, or get a disability lawyer. Sounds like you need it.
