Yeah isn't that really funny, i never thought of that, hAHaaha. "Roast your for Eternity for spitting on the sidewalk!" lololol But yes....It's probably because God was Created by People in order to Keep society under Control back in the times of no general Law, it was only religion that held everything together, and gave people at least SOME morals so they don't go crazy under no sort of Rules. Which is why today Religon is obsolete due to the laws and moral upbringings of society which have no connection with god who is merely getting in the way now.

LOL a therapist yea he does, seeing as it is man that looks after the sick, man that feeds the hungry, and it is man that opposes violence, yep god does a lot, in England the death sentance is banned, you can't use it, or in any other country in the EU though in enland at one time you could be hung for commiting suicide, erm that wasn't well thought out

I think God already had anger management, the old idea of God is much more pessimistic than the newer idea of God, in the old days the idea of God was used just to keep people in line because everyone was just completely insane, now it's used to make one a better person

Well if either were real, we'd be seeing a part of his personality and hostility in Satan for him to even be as he is. Though personally I feel Satan would be the more compassionate (of him/her or god).....he won't damn people to hell but he gives them a place to be wished away to by a petty and uncaring creator. but no, I'm afraid god skipped his anger managment to play with dirt, instead.

To answer the first part of your question/comment. What makes you think that death is worse than life in jail? You need to get in touch with your philosophical self to examine the meaning of death as compared to a life without freedom or hope. To answer the second part of your question, please realize that you are relying too heavily on other people's interpretation of God. Or rather, their interpretation of the Bible. Honestly, who can say what God is really like? Who can really know what the Bible is trying to say, or if, in fact, it really comes completely from God? I am not a Christian, nor am I an atheist, just for your information. Sometimes, we need to practice something called critical thinking without throwing away the intuitions that make up our spiritual self. Just think about that.

He's also a god that freely admits to being petty, vindicative and jealous and yet people see him as perfect... that's also bizarre. Plus the bible says multiple times that he created evil, and that he has no problems using or sending evil to kill people, yet he's seen as a benevolent and loving god.

There are a lot of paradoxes if you really dig, but that's the nature of delusion.

It does strike me as very odd seeing as how God is a man made invention. I think we have evolved a bit, not only physically but as a society, since the God concept was created therefore we have become a more compassionate society.

The God who loves the sinner is also the God whose "eyes are too pure to approve evil" and who cannot "look on wickedness with favor" (Hab. 1:13). The psalmist quotes God at one point as saying, "You thought that I was just like you" (50:21). But we are in need of the realization that just as God's love is far beyond our own, so the purity of his holiness exceeds all our conceptions! When Isaiah was granted a vision of the Lord on his throne, he was shaken by his impression of his holiness (Isa. 6:3)! For sure, God is a God of indescribable love, but He is just as much a God of absolute holiness and righteousness! When we gain a vision of the holiness of God as it is portrayed in the Bible, we begin to understand the reasonableness of the doctrine of hell.

More compassionate? Or just less just? Letting child molestors and drug dealers out on the street after a slap on the wrist isn't compassionate. It's criminally negligent.
