He had this "bee" looking pen thing. And would write or teach or something. I think about this show sometimes and I would love to remember the name. Do you?

In the early 80's, Cosby hosted "Picture Pages" on Captain Kangaroo's "Wake Up" program on CBS. Mortimer Ichabod Marker or Mortimer the Marker was the name of the writing utensil. It made a dee-dee-dee-dee-dee sound when he wrote.

I watched the Bill Cosby/Oprah episode and felt that Bill Cosby was speaking the truth. It's a shame that 70% of African American are born to single mothers. I am not judging people, but, someone (besides these mothers) has to be held accountable for the rearing and the livelihood of these children. And, Cosby was absolutely correct in saying that many young black men are misled with the belief that they don't have to bear responsibility unless they marry the mother of the child. Then, a vicious cycle of absent fathers, poverty stricken mothers and children involved with crime continue in the innner-cities. It's sad, but, very true!
