Toyota has scheduled building a black crew max limited with the 5.7L engine that I want. I made a $500 deposit with a dealership so I can buy it as soon as Toyota delivers it to them. Toyota hasn't even built it yet, so I have lots of time to cancel my order and get a refund.

I just heard of this camshaft problem today and it turns me off of buying it in the first place. So far 20 camshafts have been broken on the new tundras and Toyota is still investigating. They have said that they will replace the entire engine if it happens while the vehicle is under warranty.

What do you think, shouldn't I just cancel my pursuit of this cool-looking truck...lol.

If they are sticking behind them, then what's to lose if that is the truck you want? They'll figure it out, and make it right. They have a pretty good reputation in that area.
