Does anyone know the name of a FREE programme that will allow me to remove dust and scratch marks from old photographs?
I've tried the Polaroid dust and scratch removal programme, but I am not happy with the results I get.

If you have the patience and are prepared to learn there is a freeware programme called the Gimp.Just Google The Gimp for the download site. It's not as simple as the freebies you get with a camera but is worth the effort. You could give it a try and if you don't like it just remove it and it's cost you nothing. I do a lot of digital work and never use anything else. Hope this helps.

I've heard only good things about "Gimp" as suggested by 'JAMESM', but personally, I'd do what 'StormRider' suggests and go for the free version of "Serif's Photoplus" even though it would be an older version.
I use it all the time to restore old photos and turn black and whites into colour, remove scratches, dust etc.
I think you'll be that impressed, you'll end up going for the paid version and be able to do just about anything you want to do with your photos.

Serif do a programme called "Photoplus" there are quite a few versions but the older ones are available as free downloads. This programme will do all that you want and a lot more. I downloaded a free copy and was so impressed I bought the latest version. It's fanatstic and I use it a lot.

Easier than Adobe and a lot cheaper even for the pay for version.
