I have just as much pride as the man at the pulpit who puts down people that don't agree with him or just as much pride as those Christians who think that everyone should ditch their current beliefs for those that directly correspond with theirs. I have enough pride to say that no congregation in the world is allowed to judge my actions. Only God gets to do that.

Otherwise, being in the 'body of Christ' means that I have to be under the direction of other people that don't have any more godly blessing or special knowledge then I do. I refuse to let people interfere with my very personal relationship with God by filling my mind with hate and fear. If having too much pride means I don't let other people make decisions for me or tell me what to believe as if I were a child then so be it.

I might as well forget about being an individual and just shut down mentally and feel nothing at all. Where are my feelings going to go if I have to constantly guard my heart and my head? That is a form of spiritual suicide. Jesus said to be like little children but he couldn't have meant that these children should never be allowed to grow up. If you don't grow, you die. If you don't question, your imagination and curiosity whithers. Where is all the joy if you give it away and don't get any in return and are always being critical of yourself and others?

When someone says,"God is all I need", they are saying that they can have a relationship with God without going to a church. That is all it means. What if someone said, " church is all I need" and didn't even mention God and forgot all that they had learned or intended every other day but Sunday?

You could help somebody that doesn't want to go to church by praying with them or peacefully talking with them about God and spirituality in their home if you want to. If you lose your temper, leave before you begin to shout back and forth. Dust your feet off like Jesus said. It could be upbuilding for both of you. Try it but don't ruin it by insisting that the person become a church goer. Simply invite the person and accept whatever answer you get. Remember to pray before and after for peace. Best wishes.

Well, if you believe in God, you would know that he is probably working through you.

But i think people are really blinded, thinking that God is making them happy and their life is wonderful, when its really not because they haven't listened to God.

You can just make a choice then God will take care of the consequences.

No, not at all. Whenever I am weighed down by problems or anxieties, I always turn to God for help and guidance. I can never do it on my own without His help.
