I just posted a legitamite answer which I learned in CCD and HS about the Pope and someone puts a thumbs down???

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Anq2tFFYEXeNXn3hHA18gTPsy6IX?qid=20070710083909AATcpGH&show=7#profile-info-e0a81333aa57f8661514f1fcf591fc64aa

Why? I dont get it. the person asked Who is he, what does he do, and why is he such a big deal. I answered truthfully per Catholic Dogma and get a thumbs down?
Jeez, whoever did that is just proving they cant handle another religion's dogma. If it's not your personal belief, dont review it.

I dont put thumbs down when I see a Muslim, Hindu, Christain...etc answer.

Wow... and now I have 9. People are kinda infantile about this, huh?

Oh well......

And, I'm not "bend out of shape" about it. I just think people are being inane posting thumbs down about dogma they dont respect.

because they didn't like what you said.

i guess they failed to notice the quotes around "infallible," "true" and "saved" obviously implying that you didn't agree with the statement and that you were merely reporting the facts.

here, have a thumbs up. and a star. that makes it better :)

Wow you're going nuts because someone didn't like your answer. A lot of people on this forum are really dumb and will give thumbs down for bigoted reasons; like if they don't like your religion, if they don't like what you have to say, if they don't like the facts you stated or the way you stated them (even if they're right).

Are you new? I don't mean to be rude, but you're going to have to bulk up if you're going to stick around R&S. You get a lot of ******* in here. But there's lots of good people, too!

No worries...at least you don't get points taken away for a thumbs down. Try not to take it personally.

It seems a lot of people give thumbs down to answers they don't agree with, no matter how valid or respectful the answer. Being an atheist I get thumbs down for legitimate, respectful answers all the time just because I state that I am atheist (I'm assuming). Again, try not to take it personally...some people are bored and some are childish.

i dont know it seems like you answered the question very well. Dont fret on what others think i saw lots of people get thumbs down. it only matters if you get pick by the asker. And if not all well do not worry about it too much. you answered the best you could and that is all that matters.
hope this helps.

Some people just go around giving others thumbs down for kicks- dont take it personally or that you have no idea what you are talking about.

People put thumbs down if you mention a food they don't like. Don't worry about it. After reading over your answer which was legitimate and knowledgeable, someone probably just didn't like the dogma. It happens- nothing to lose sleep over. The religion category is a tough one...

I usually only give a thumbs down to someone who sounds like he has no idea as to what he is talking about, or else he made no attempt to really answer the question.

Don't sweat it; I get thumbs down all of the time, and I still made it to level seven (whatever that means).

ROTFL!!!! If I got all bent out of shape every time I got a thumbs-down, like YOU just did, the men in white coats and butterfly nets would be carting me off to the funny farm!

Lighten up, and get a life!

(A "thumbs-down?" <>)

Edit -- See? Look at all the thumbs-down I've gotten already for THIS answer. And that doesn't bother *me* any, eh?

It's only one thumb down. I've done better.

Edit: Bwahahahahaha...my first impulse when I read the question (this one) was to find your answer in the other question and give you a thumbs down...now NINE people have beat me to the punch. Ya happy now? ROFL

The real question should be why you allow others to affect your mood.

Honestly, if you know you gave a good response, and others flag you for it, why let it bother you? Why waste five points ragging to others about it? As an atheist, if I dont get at least a couple of thumbs down, I feel as if I havent done my "job" correctly....
