To be honest, once they are potty trained, accidents don't always happen. They do happen, just not as often as you think. Plus, you can never have to many pairs of underpants, for any age. Good Luck!

If you are the care giver and are watching the child closely four pairs a day.

What has worked well for me is setting a timer. In the beginning you set it for every ten minutes, when the child stops and looks at you and know what the timer means then you can increase it to twenty, then thirty then every hour.

Bring her to the toilet each time it goes off and have her sit two minutes each time. Singing a song, looking at a book, you reading her a story and using a book mark to pick up where you left off helps pass the time.

get enough for one week just to start and then go from there. if you have like 7 of them then you will be able to switch them out when necessary. if you only have one or two you may be doing more laundry than you want to.

I say about 10 because you never know how many accident he/she will have. And you can never have to many.
