i want to get some muscles (to look fit and fit clothes i want to wear) and grow taller...i know it's all in your genes but are there any sports i can do that can help? or you can tell me some cute stores that would have petite sizes...i'm a 14 year old girl and i only weight 80 pounds and 5'1ft tall =/ pls help!!!

you are only 14, you are still VERY young to be worrying about all this. .

but you could start eating more complex carbs ( basically those in wholegrain form such as wholegrain breads, oats, muesli and brown rice) & lean protein's (fish and chicken etc) to put on some muscle. and do some sports. swimming, running, cycling. . .

as for your height. .

you are still growning. everyday you are growing. just make sure you are having a healthy intake of calcium (milk, yoghurt, cheese's) everyday. to make your bones grow strong and healthy.
just try stretching your body, or taking up gymnastics, as that would help your posture, and make you look taller. and possibly help stretch out your muscles better too.

I stopped growing at about 14-15 ish so you are probably close to being done. Although it really depends on your genes. If your parents are tall, then you probably haven't hit a growth spurt yet.

But don't worry. Height isn't everything. Lots of tall people wish they could be shorter. You'll never be happy with what you have so just accept it.

It would help to know how tall your parents and your/their siblings are...

Lots of calcium ... you can only grow as tall as your bones do, and do not malnourish yourself, this would definitely stunt your growth ... eat protein to help build the muscles & be sure to drink plenty of water and get enough sleep.

as for muscles, anything helps define muscles ... swimming is a GREAT all-over sport ... you may wish to avoid running or gymnastics or anything with tons of impact that could damage your knees or compress your spine ...

skool sports as in vollyball, will get you fit.... basketball will get you tall, and softball will get you thick(buff)...
use small weights with alot of reps for muscle defenition...
big weights, 3sets of 10 reps will get you bulky... remember you are a girl and you wanna keep your girlie figure.... so ANY chest exercises will decrease breast size!!!
work around chest snd do shoulders and back, but NO chest!!

at this age....be active...do cardio...eat nutrious foods...fruits..vegetables and stay away from Junk Food
