Research work on fruit flies show that some strains are born 'gay'. I have seen these flies: the males congregating together, completely ignoring the females in the same milk bottle.

If such behaviour happens with fruit flies, why not with humans?
Did not That which created humans create the flies too?

I am sure that I will get flagged for this but hey what can I do.

I do not believe people are born that way I do believe that it is a choice. I do feel for some people who have made that choice based on circumstances beyond their control. (my aunt was molested as a child and has a fear of men and is more comfortable with women)

I will never treat anyone different for the color of their skin religion or really anything I leave the judging to God. Only HE knows what is in the heart of a man (or woman)

The reason that God says anything, is out of His love for us. He has forbidden all sorts of behavior - and that is what we are talking about, it is easy to confuse the behavior and the desire. For instance, a person may be a cleptomaniac and have strong desires to steal things, it's still wrongful behavior for them even though it comes so "naturally". There is no difference here. The same is for a man and a woman. Just because they would have attractions or desires to have relations, outside of marriage it would always be wrong.

These things are wrong, not just for being wrong, God truly wants us to live a healthy and balanced life and these sort of "rules" protect us. Hope this helps.

Sometimes a soul needs a specific challenge in order to grow. Giving it an inclination towards an illicit sexual relationship gives it a chance to confront, and overcome that particular challenge. The purpose behind the laws isn't to punish or to be cruel- but to help the soul grow- sexual activity is an animal act, by conducting it within the boundaries set by God we change it from that animal act to a holy act.

To the person who claimed it is against male prostitution- there is zero evidence in the hebrew that it has anything to do with prostitution. It is a prohibition against anal sex and applies equally to homosexual and heterosexual couple since the hebrew uses the masculine as the gender neutral, and the verse is transposed to other verses which cover heterosexual relations, thus we can extrapolate that the penetrative sex act that is forbidden (sodom) applies equally to heterosexual and homsexual couples.

The bible was not written by any god....and even if it was inspired by a god figure, it was still written by man and that includes any prejudices that man may have.

But have you noticed it doesn't say anything about two women laying together? And if it does, somebody ought to have the book, chapter, and verse to prove it.

So my thinking on the matter is, that the men at the time abhorred the sight of two men together, but didn't mind two women together. Either that or they didn't think women were important enough to include.

Sex has never been just been done in marriage......right off the bat you have sex outside of marriage with Abraham and his maid/servant.

Being gay is something that you are born with. You are either born gay, straight, or both. I have read a study that said in a yahoo news article that scientists tested the brains of straight females, gay males, and straight males. The test was how does the brains of each group react to the male hormone. The results of the test was that straight males didn't react at all, straight female and gay males reacted the same way to the male hormone.

And be pragmatic about it.....would you choose to be a persecuted person because of the choice you made? If a person could choose to be straight or gay, wouldn't they choose straight because then they wouldn't have to put up with the bullsh** from religious bigots?

We can be born with serious flaws. We all are. That is the meaning of original sin. There are many things that God says not to do that may be in our nature, that we may be born with. Again, we are flawed by nature. You are no more flawed than any one else, but you are no less either.

Many people have difficulty understanding this basic message that flows throughout Christianity because it is so heavy. But the good news comes from Jesus. His good news has no deep meaning if you don't understand this.

Well for one thing, none of these people know for a definite fact whether people are born with this certain affection towards the same sex or not. Assuming there is a god, wouldn't he want you to be happy? If being loved by the same sex is a horrible sin but having the same level of love for another sex is some how different then i don't want to go to "heaven." God is supposed to be your mentor and someone you look up to. If he cant accept you for who you are and where your love is at then God is no more than a mere man or a figment of which he has originated.

He may have said that because humans do have freedom of choice, and what you mention is, indeed, choice...NOT genetic.
You cannot choose your height or eye color or skin color or gender but you can bloody well choose how you act.

To the person who said that God did not say that:
See Leviticus 18 (notice that He also mentions animalism):

22 “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.

23 “A man must not defile himself by having sex with an animal. And a woman must not offer herself to a male animal to have intercourse with it. This is a perverse act.

Dear Friends

Romans 12:9
[ Love ] Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Luke 6:37
[ Judging Others ] "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Christians dislike the practice of Homosexuality because it is contrary to Gods will, but conversely we love the person themselves.

The Bible clearly teaches against these actions, for example:

1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

So in short it does not teach us to hate Gay people, but the act of homosexuality itself.

God Bless

The scientific consensus is that masturbation is a medically healthful and psychologically established habit. this is been commonplace to decrease blood stress, decrease the possibility of prostate maximum cancers, stave off melancholy etc... some human beings hotel to masterbation truly of having intercourse with different individuals so as to no longer risking getting a sexually transmitted ailment. As for sins, this is a non secular theory. in my opinion i come across this truly stupid and damaging. asserting masterbation is a sin is like asserting looking with your eyes is a sin. Logically, why could a god create you with sexual organs, sexual hormones and something, purely to torture you continually in case you utilize them? this is insane to supress your physique's organic applications, and actually damaging to sense accountable approximately it. those 2 issues jointly are very risky bodily and mentally.
