The colder your refrigerator is, the longer milk will last. It all depends, if you have doubts that the milk is no good, just smell it and if it gives off a sour odor then you know it has turned bad.

The milk has expired and is therefore bad. It's not like dry goods that are still good a few days after it expires. Throw out that milk before you get sick from it.

in the winter 3-5 days but in the summer once it hits the expiration date throw it out, rememember the saying "when in doubt throw it out"

The industry standard is 10 days, but that's only under perfect conditions, assuming the diary, the grocery store, and you kept it properly refrigerated.
