meshugga42, have you ever heard of irony? If not you may want to look it up, a lot of what goes on in R&S may suddenly make sense to you.

Here is the full text of the new document that states nothing new: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20070629_responsa-quaestiones_en.html

Most Christian denominations believe that each of them is the fullest version of the Church of Christ.

While the Catholic Church also believes that she is "the highest exemplar" of the mystery that is the Church of Christ, she does not claim that non-Catholic Churches are not truly Christian. The Catholic Church teaches:

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.

Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.

All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

With love in Christ.

You call yourself an atheist?! A real atheist knows the pope is just a man, and hell isn't real. Or do you secretly believe?

The pope is a joke, who cares about that old fool in his robe and pope mobile.

Religion is also a joke. People waste there time and money to go to church just to be judged over there lifestyle.

If you believe in god that is ok but I think people need to have a personal relationship with god if you believe.

Oh damn it! I gotta hang out with them for all Eternity? Now I don't know whether to go back to the Church....either way, it's an eternity of people telling me how much better they are than me, or how right they were.

Here we go again. So what the heck is a true church or Christian?

Kind of like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

The world may never know.

Oh boy, now we'll see another catholic vs, protestant war if we're not careful. LOL To me it's just dumb vs. dumber.
Yes, it would make our private god-free paradise a bit less fun, unless we can corrupt them terribly. Muahahahaha!!! LOL
