Ever notice how the "liberals" are sooner or later proven right about almost everything?

The proof is in the fact that today's "conservatives" would've been considered radical liberals just a few generations ago, and it's always been that way. Progress depends on "liberalism." If we were all staunch conservatives, we'd all still be living in caves.

As for global warming, there will have to be a massive sea change (so to speak) in the way people all over the world view the problem and the steps they take to address it. If we continue the way we are, we're in for it. You don't have to be an Al Gore fan to read the writing on the wall.

It should go without saying that people like "Father K" are backwards sociopaths. (Remember kids - stay away from the priests!) But it IS cute that they always try to impugn science by comparing it to religion!

I do embrace science, but living in the north the main effect I personally see from global warming is mild winters.

Ah the trendy cataclysm du jour.

While global warming is definitely on the rise -- and the consequences of it span the realm from known to unknown; we will pretty much follow the same path we've been following with the emerging technologies of China and other developing nations pursuant to the acquisition of massive quantities of currency.

Yes we will embrace science. However, the portends of death from the effects of global warming are somewhat premature and the death knell for the planet is quite a ways off.

We have many resources to exhaust first.

If we embrace science, we also embrace the fact that global warming is real! If something isn't done. we will all die from the effects of global warming. Belief in it won't matter.

Liberals have been wrong on almost every major issue. They just never admit it and go about their business as if they never said it. The Earth has always gone through warming and cooling cycles, even before there were humans. Did you know the average temperature on Earth was once twenty degrees warmer than it is now? I didn't think you knew that. We are in a very slight warming trend now. The only valid question is: do humans contribute to the trend in any meaningful way. Scientists disagree on the answer. Don't listen to Al Gore when he says the debate is over. Liberals love to shut down debate.

Man didn't and isn't causing global warming. While global warming is occurring,to have the hubris to think man is responsible is ridiculous. It seems everyone just conveniently forgets grammar school. You know, the place where we learned of repeated heating and cooling cycles in the earths' climate.Yes,we pollute, yes,we should get off oil. No,we haven't caused global warming. We weren't even in existence through 99% of the warming periods of the earth. But we CAUSED this one?Ridiculous, seeing as the Mt. St. helens' eruption alone put more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere than man has since he climbed trees.Global warming?true..MAN MADE global warming? What a ridiculous crock

Global warming will take a long time before it's a major problem to the environment. Life will adapt, it always does. As soon as the excess human population is gone, the plants will reduce the CO2 levels back to normal, and things will be good.

Why fight evolution?
