Got you covered -- there is a diet out there that can knock off as much as 25 pounds in four weeks SAFELY. It doesn't require counting calories, spending hours in the gym, cutting out entire food groups, making exotic meals with hard-to-find ingredients, or giving up everything that you love. You can find it in your local bookstore. It's called "The Abs Diet" by David Zinczenko, who is one of the editors of Mens Health magazine. It's a common-sense approach to eating and exercise that is designed around simplicity. You can get just about everything you need for this "diet" from your local supermarket (there are one or two things you would have to get from GNC or Vitamin World, but hey...). It has weekly meal plans, a bunch of recipes for healthy meals, and workout plans. Best of all, IT WORKS!!! The book is hard to miss -- the cover is bright orange. Worth checking out. Oh, did I mention the Discussion boards for Mens Health magazine have special threads for The Abs Diet and The Abs Diet for women? You can network with other people who are doing the diet, get encouragement, share your success stories, get meal tips, etc.

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.

To be honest the most you could hope to lose in thirty days might be 10 lbs.

Just go to salads and fruits . NO SUGARS, STARCHES, SODAS, FRIED FOODS JUNK FOOD.

Your stomach will shrink by eating small portions. Use a small plate and take up small portions.

Good Luck.

My advice would be to stay as low carb as possible. Eat lots of beans, nuts, meat and dairy. A good cheat sheet would be a search for "phase one, South Beach diet". I found walking every night helped me too. Good luck!
