Colloidal silver hasn't been proven to treat ANYTHING. It can, however, discolor your skin.

However, if you do prefer a nice, homeopathic way to prevent bladder infections, take a cranberry supplement. Health food stores sell cranberry extract tablets (I buy mine at Trader Joe's, but Cran-Actin is another popular brand). They're cheap and safe. Read the dosing info on the back and take them accordingly.
Also, if you are sexually active, always remember to urinate after sexual intercourse. And when you use the toilet, wipe front to back so you don't smear any fecal bacteria into the urethra.
