I do not need a religion in my life so the answer to your question is yes. All these thumbs down when someone has answered they are atheists, why do the good Christian brigade get so up tight about people not believing in a god, being atheists does not make us the anti Christ, you can still be a nice person without the need to worship something. Get a grip people!

Atheists exist but God does not. Atheist are not claiming that God exists. Theist are claiming it. So the believers or theists have to prove that God exist. Let us say some one is claiming the existence of Ghosts, Angels, Jinn (Genie) etc and he wants me to believe in it then he has to come up with substantial scientific proof that they exist. The existence of God is based on belief not on proof.
When a child is born he does not have a religion or belief. Later when he or she grows up they are brainwashed into religion. But when he understands logic he starts questioning. He or she gets out of their religious beliefs. He then denies some thing that does not exist. Remember you don't have to prove a negative.

Not really, they're just a fanciful myth- like faeries and unicorns. I see proof of their existence all over the place, but despite all of this proof and what I have read and been taught, I will deny their existence until they single me out and prove to me personally that they truly exist.
Until then, I will continue to assert that Atheism is the opiate of the closed-minded.

I think in most cases people who claim to be an atheist take just as much comfort in the fact as those who claim to be Christians or whatever.
Its like a reverse security blanket for them, they don't have to feel like they bought into life and it let them down.
I'm an agnostic, its good to sit on the fence and see how it all plays out.

yes, they do. why? it is easier not to believe in God so that a person can do what he wants without having to follow a specific religion. they dont have to observe praying, fasting, following instructions that come from a holy book. who do they appeal to when they hope something would be done for them ?or when they are ill and need support from heaven ?they are like students without homework. or assignments.they go on living without expecting reward or punishment from a superior Being. those who believe work hard in this world to gain the hereafter. atheists skip this , and work only for Now and Here. i pray they would open their eyes to the only truth in life.Death .it is followed by Life in paradise or in hell. we can gain entry to paradise by pleasing our Creator during our short existence on earth.

Yep.
But then again there's the question if they truly don't completely believe considering the religious influence throughout peoples lives. As that influence has seemingly gone down a bit in the past years it seems people arise with less faith. There are certainly some who truly believe there is no god.

I don't believe in Atheists, but if I did, it would be perfectly feasable for someone to believe that there is a logical explanation for everything, rather than a mysterious man in the sky who punishes us for our wrongdoings.

Yup, I strongly believe in them, my personal experience confirms that they exist and I have several books that prove they exist....
Besides all of that, I'm one and I exist.

No. Everyone believes in God. Those who say they don't simply don't want to acknowledge God.
