I don't want anything cheesy, especially for my mom, I want it to be something meaningful and I don't know what to get. Please help! I know people will say not to get gifts but for all they have done for me I would like to get them something. Thanks!

for the mother in law, a gift card to her favorite store. itll save you from running around looking for a special gift. && she can just pick out whatever she wants.

for the mother, my aunt drew pictures of her and my uncle when they were little and she gave it to my gma and papaw. you may not be able to draw, but you could make a scrapbook of the whole family.

you could also make a scrapbook for the mother in law. it could be pictures of your fiance when he was little until now!

a scrapbook is from the heart. and they serve a lot of memories.

If money's not an issue, how about a diamond necklace or earrings that have the 3 stones that stand for Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow? Or maybe the new Journey Necklace if they don't already have one. That would make for a meaningful gift.

It is fine to give them gifts.
Cheesy? Think of something your mother loves. Let's say it's hearts or butterflies. Find something simple, yet beautiful. It doesn't have to be jewelry.
do the same with your M-I-L.
A gift one of my brides gave was a charm bracelet to each. the first charm had a wedding bell. When they had their first child, a baby shoe to add to the charm bracelet. Basically, it was a way for both mothers to mark the events in the bride and groom's life.

For my mom, I got the book "Why a Daughter Needs a Mom: 100 reasons". I went through the book, and when I found something that touched my heart that I remembered about my mom, I wrote our experience on the page and what it meant to me. She really appreciated it :)

I'm not sure about your mother-in-law. Maybe a special picture from that she could put a wedding photo in after the wedding?

Best wishes for your big day!

Do you have a picture of you dressed up as a little girl? If you do, get that, and see if you can get a picture of you done in your wedding dress, semi-made up for your wedding day. (Pre-dress rehearsal, as I like to call it), and get a double frame, and make a note saying something about how she made you a princess once before, and now you're a princess again..... and it's all because of her love that you're the woman you are now.

As for the mother in law.... what about the same for her son? (Be sure to use "Prince!" LOL)

Sorry, but those are what I'm using for gifts for my dad, the in-laws, and grandparents. :)

I'm getting my mom and mil beautiful battenburg lace hankies with a saying embroidered on each one. I'm also giving my mother a red rose as I walk down the aisle and my mil a yellow rose for friendship. I like Stephanie Plante's idea of a silver photo album too.

I had such an issue with this! lol I finally settled on a nice silver plated photo album for each that has tiny rhinestones in a heart on the front that will hold a picture of us. the album will be for wedding pictures.

How about a nice pair of pearl earrings? Shouldn't cost too too much. Would be very nice to wear to the wedding and would be a great reminder of the day.

I don't really think you should give them gifts but if you feel compelled you can't go wrong with the sites below. Mom's love things that are engraved, personalized etc.

Rock Goddess has the right idea. You can actually buy silver double frames that are engraved with "I'll always be your little girl." On one side it has your baby picture with your birthday below it. On the other side it has your wedding picture with your wedding date below it. Very sentimental.
