I think whatever was afflicting this person, it was well beyond the scope of what antidepressants can do for someone. He was very disturbed and needed far more help that just from a pill.

He had been. No one is sure if he was taking them when he committed the crime. That said, my wife is on them (as are millions of others) and she hasn't killed anyone, so I doubt it is very relevant.
