If it's true than eat pizza in moderation like once a week so you don't get fat you will still be eating pizza...and it depends if you eat a whole pizza or not...for me I only eat 3 to 4 slices of pizza which means half a pizza....and i eat it only once a week...I stay away from junk food cause it's bad for health but for once in a week when you go out with friends in the weekend you can make an exception...just eat it in moderation that's all

Confusing world, isn't it? Pizza is known to have the four food groups included and some people think that makes it the "perfect" food. As in any other situation, eating pizza in moderation is fine - but so is drinking wine, unless you have an alcohol problem, because it contains so many anti-oxidents....but we can't walk around drinking wine all day, either. I don't believe for one second that pizza is a deterent to cancer...but for every question there is some test somewhere to give you the answer you want. The world is trying to rotate us into believing everything we read. If you actually care enough about this issue, talk to your doctor the next time you see him/her and I'll bet you'll find that the study you're talking about is horse pucky! Good luck.

Pizza in proper proportions can be good for you (the lycopene thing is true, actually. Tomatoes don't lose nutritional value when cooked). Eating a whole deep-dish pizza with extra cheese and sausage? Thats different. Of course you will gain weight. But pizza, like most things, is not bad for you IN THE PROPER AMOUNTS. You can make it even healthier by ordering light cheese, thin crust, and lots of veggies on top.

I agree.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Well, I want to say this gently, but for starters what I KNOW -- and not just think -- is that you are wrong about "experts" saying pizza makes you fat. You are saying that because you are drawing on the old wives' tale which says starches and breads make you fat. They don't. Overconsumption and underburning of calories makes you fat.
1 gram of carbs is 4 calories; 1 gram of fat is 9 calories. I rest my case.

i believe that understanding your particular body's needs are important. make a fitness journal for two months and you will see what works for you.
record everything from foods(fats,calories,fiber,etc...), how you exercise(rep, start/end time, etc...)
and enjoy your feelings before and after these times. record all snack and even your water and vitamin consumptionm.
now, in switerzerland you can get a vaccine shot for BRAIN CANCER !!! check out yahoo news !!!
all that research has a little truth... but really.
diet, working out, being active, having good freinds, enjoying life and not stressing about the little things is going to make
you healthy.
eliminate gossip in your life.
eliminate untruths in your life.
eliminate stress and drama in your life.
eat slow and learn to enjoy your food.
learn to trust your instincts and most of all. find who you are and be that person. be happpy.
i know for myself, if i eat pizza within reason(a few bites) its ok, but I am not going to waste my carbs and calories on something that I know does not make me feel good. literally- i am insulin resistant and only threw working out and running can I keep my sugar levels in check.
some people are pre-disposed on a genetic level to cancer. so no matter what, its up to you to take care of yourself.

Pizza is just an American imitation of Italian food so far as I see it. :P
Actually, vitamin B17 and anti-oxidants have been found key preventatives for all sorts of cancers.
B17 can be found in Apple seeds, Apricot seeds, and Linseed.
http://home.bluegrass.net/~jclark/b17_dosage.htm
Antioxidants:
Vitamins C:
citrus fruits, green peppers, broccoli, green leafy vegetables, strawberries, raw cabbage and potatoes.
Vitamin E:
wheat germ, nuts, seeds, whole grains, green leafy vegetables, vegetable oil and fish-liver oil.
Beta-Carotene
:Carrots, squash, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, kale, collards, cantaloupe, peaches and apricots
Selenium;
fish, shellfish, red meat, grains, eggs, chicken and garlic. Vegetables can also be a good source if grown in selenium-rich soils.
It is best to get selenium through foods, as large doses of the supplement form can be toxic.

I'm 56 years old and I'm so tired of hearing people make these silly. The reason why they have made these claims is either to sell a book or a product

I'll cut it short: Pizza- good, but contains fat.
Tomato juice/ketchup - good, but try and get 100% tomato juice/natural.

thats absurd! pizza is definitely not good for you. if they really want tomatoes, eat a salad! pizza is extremely high in all kinds of fat (satuarated, polysaturated, etc) and quite high in calories too.
