This statement is idiotic and helps no one. Why do the Romans think that they have the monoploy on a Church that spread from Jerusalem...

The Church Universial is made up of all people who accept Christ as their savior, worship Him, and try to advance His kingdom through loving God and loving man.

If there was once apolostoc succession, the church in Rome hijacked it a long time ago.

You believe in the primacy of the Roman Bishops (popes)? Look up the word 'nepotisim'...

The Roman Catholics just lost me as an ally with this noise...

Opinions? I am interested in hearing from those of other faiths or no faiths, does this in-fighting make Christians look more stupid (or can anything?)

Answer me this. Where do all other Christian churches receive their authority? The Catholic Church is the Church established by Jesus Christ.Other Christian churches were formed on Luther, not Jesus Christ

Jesus established the Catholic Church with Simon Peter designated the first Pope.

"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Around or about 45 AD, Peter went to Rome and from there lead the Catholic Church. As of today, there have been 263 Popes in direct succession to Peter. The position of Pope was established by Christ and the office has been maintained in an apostolic manner since the time of Christ. Although the Church has fragmented since the time of Christ with various leadership centers emerging, the apostolic line of succession in the Church is seated in Rome until this very day. Many throughout time have tried to rationalize away and deny the authority and structure of the Church as established by Jesus. The Catholic Church is the Church established by Jesus and has maintained a clear line of apostolic leadership to this very day. The Church has celebrated the sacraments and worshiped the Lord in essentially the same way since the time of Christ.

The churches today have become a free enterprise operation. If you can access the Internet you can be ordained in some church. With no study involved what so ever. The reformation began a splintering of the Church - in so many words, a kingdom divided.

It is just the true sign of the times, the great harlot church of Babylon seated on the seven hills is going to insert and declare it true authority by it's own trumpets and not by God.

We shall see where the TRUE CHURCH stands when Jesus Christ RAPTURES HIS BRIDE.

Does not matter what man says, it is what GOD says which is truth. Everything else is noise including Pope BENEDICT.

Funny, I thought Jesus was the way to salvation and not the RCC.
"There is no other name under heaven where by we must be saved"

If one thinks about it, Jerusalem was the first church it was NOT in Rome.

I find it very interesting that the pope never gives Bible references to prove his false beliefs. I guess he can't find one.
Jesus will put the catholic church in its rightful place when He returns. We will just have to pray and wait.
Rev 19:2 for true and just are his judgements. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.
