In the North Western part of the country (in particular the Outer Hebrides) they speak the ancient Gaelic tongue, which was brought to Scotland from Ireland in the 4th century A.D. http://www.omniglot.com/writing/gaelic.htm

People in Scotland once spoke Picitish (a language of unknown affiliation) and Scots Gaelic (a Celtic language). Historical linguists believe that Pictish died out around the year 1000. Scottish Gaelic, brought to Scotland from Ireland in the 6th century A.D., has been in slow but steady retreat ever since the Angles (Old English) founded the kingdom of Lothian in southeastern Scotland in the 7th century.
Today, most people in Scotland speak English. However, even the Scots English which dates from the 12th century is gradually being replaced by the standard British form of English which is based on the London dialect. Since London English is the language of business, commerce and education in Great Britain, Scots English cannot really compete with it. It's sad because I actually like the Scots English accent with its burr sounds.

Scottish people speak Scot of course, besides English, and I heard people there speak English with very heavy accent, especially people in Glasgow. Maybe it's better to ask a Scot. LOL.

Hard to say really. To me Glaswegian sounds like "a-hoo-ha-ha-ha-haa-Jimmy!" I suppose they could be saying "awfully glad to meet you Cyril" in a scottish accent though.
