I say get rid of the frame, and just lay the box spring and mattress on the floor. No more squeeks!

I'd say he should pay for it if it was at his place. However, it might not hurt you to offer to chip in since you were half the reason it broke. Also, you being a larger lady has nothing to do with it. Anyone of any size can break beds if they are too hard on them (I broke one jumping up and down on it when I was 10), the beds are older, and so on.

First of all If this bed is in a hotel or someone else's home you should share the burdon.
If this was a one night stand, then the person who owns the bed needs to just eat this on his or her own.
If this is a friend or someone that you will see again it would be in good taste to make and offer of something toward the new bed.

Why??? It's his bed and he was in it too. If his bed isn't strong enough for two people then he needs to invest in a new one if he is looking for someone to share it with. With a good medal frame he wouldn't have to worry about the weight capacity and there not that costly.

Is this a b/f or a one night stand or what?
If its a relationship you should pay at LEAST half of the cost of replacing the bed.
One night stand, well if you talk to the guy again offer to pitch in for half. If you don't talk to him again then you are off scott free!

I would offer to chip in some money to get it fixed or replace it. I don't think you should have to pay for the whole thing, but paying some would be a nice gesture. He may tell you not to worry about it. :)
