If you find a lump, it could be Penile-cancer. Cancer of the Penis! In its early stages, can be treated, in advanced stages, the Penis has to be amputated!
This is not a joke, was given 30 minutes airtime on the news this week! Apparently it is partly caused by not washing the penis regularly, so guys "rollback" & ensure regular washing and powdering of the organ. Thats my "doctor" bit for today! merely concerned about some of lifes pleasures that we take for granted.

I decided to research this subject yesterday and found ou tthat there are several reasons for its cause. principal cause is the papiloma virus. Here are others:
1. Lack of pesonal Hygiene
2. Lots of sexual Partners!
3. Inability to roll back the foreskin!
In my school days our Social Science teaher always advised us to roll back and wash. Now I know why.
Go to google and check this serious matter out!

You can read more about this rare disease which can kill 300 people a year:

NCI: Penile Cancer
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/penile/

American Cancer Society: What are the risks for Penile Cancer?

There is no part of anyones body that is immune from cancer. The disease is devastating not only physically but physcologically damaging as well. Unfortuanately I know a 23 year old young man who just died from testicular cancer that had spread into his abdomen. He originally had a stage 1 diagnosis, lived for three years, had a relapse and passed away within a few months.

Anyone can have life threatening cancer at any age and on any part of the body.

A more common cancer in that region is testicular cancer, and it is the #1 cancer in men between the ages of 18 and 30.

This is certainly seomthing important for men to check; however, the rate for testicular cancer in the U.S. is about four times that of penile cancer, so it's even more important to check for that! Obviously, these are both cancers for which men can check themselves, and as with breast cancer in women, a regular schedule for checking is very important.
