This is what I have heard--a diet of fruit, at one particular time is good--more so in the morning.
My assessment-- But since the water content is high in this , this will not be enough sustenance like a sumptuous breakfast[especially in tropical countries]
May be a good breakfast can be had after a gap of 1 hour. [after some fruit. ]
I have also heard that the digesting time for this varies from the time taken for other types of food and this causes unnecessary extra time for the fruit , thereby putting the system into trouble. However, many myths float around and people say and write whatever they hear and believe.
Perhaps we should rely on our own internal system to take care and evolve our individual strategy.

First of all that don't make sense to be true. Some people have fruits for dinner or lunch so it would just be like eating them for lunch or dinner if you decide to eat after. Some restaurants serve fruits as desserts they mix strawberries and or bits of banna in icecream. I love to eat apples and grapes all the time and nothing has happen to me.

I heard the same thing that a fruit on top of your stomach after you have eaten can turn sour. I don't know if it is true or not but I usually wait for a hour or so after eating to eat fruit in case it is true.

You can never go wrong with eating fruits at any time of the day. Fruits make a great dessert, whether eaten plain, drizzled with honey, or blended into a smoothie

I wouldn't know, perhaps it has something to do with certain fruits being so acidic?
