Having to choose between the University of Nottingham and the University of Essex for a PG LLM program, I finally preferred Nottingham. What do you think?

You made the best choice. Nottingham has a very good Law School and it's important to pick a Uni with a good research reputation for a postgrad course.

Plus, I hear Nottingham has a good nightlife. Certainly more favourable than anything further south-east...!

If the course is the same and opportunities the same then think in terms of
wanting to be near or away from London,
nearer or further away from home,
nearer or further away from new places you would like to visit,
distance from halls of residence to your faculty building,
is there a bar open on the way back to halls
travel to each one and have a look - get a vibe
