The racing has been great. I'm not sure which of the COT races so far you thought were boring? It seems to be eliminating spinning someone out for the win and forces drivers to work on finding a way to pass instead. The finishes have been awesome and there have been fewer wrecked cars at the end of races. It should level off more when they use it full time next year. I like this system a LOT better than F1 and Indy where there is a much bigger difference between the haves and have nots.

I have liked all the really close finishes that they have had with the COT. The IROC cars you cant modify and here you can modify and possibly work in a grey area, and everything isnt the same. I am still against the look of the COT, I am more fond of the splitter now, but I cannot get over that rear wing, and I understand it looks more like the 70s and 80s cars, and everything, but I just dont like how its harder to turn in the corners and theirs not a whole lot of downforce. Adjustments need to be made to the COT, and they will be. I like how it's safer though, but wish they were keeping the Chevy Monte Carlo.

The COT is nothing like an IROC car. IROC cars are identically prepared, meaning they have the same springs, shocks, gears ratios, cross-weight settings, track bar settings, etc. The COT has similar templates for the body only. The teams are still allowed to set up their cars with different suspension configurations to suit the drivers style. Meaning they can change springs, shocks, wedge, etc. They also have a choice between a couple gear ratios each week, can choose either a 750 or 830 cfm carb, and can adjust the front splitter and rear wing within certain limits. You cant change the setup on an IROC car.

I like the car also... The races have been good in terms of competition... I think almost every COT race has had a battle for the lead in the closing laps. There just seems to be alot less wrecks with the COT and I think that is why alot people are complaining about it being boring

COT cars were build more for safety for the drivers I will said that the wing or spoiler or whatever you to call like stupid. These are like the cars of the late 70's & early 80's. The drivers have to get up on the wheel and drive than more than the old cars. When they start running then every race you start seeing better races.

No it is nothing like "IROC"
NASCAR is making an Attempt to level the playing field.
The big money teams are pushing the smaller teams/owners out of contention.
NASCAR is attempting to make it so the smaller teams have a chance in the the sport. This is not a cost controll measure but an eaquailization of the cars.

Nascar wants everything equal. Why don't they build all the cars and just have 36 IROC races. The whole things getting boring. Maybe they could have their wives drive a race or two also.

I like the COT. I like the racing and the look of it. The look of it will grow on people who don't initially like it.

I like the durability and the fact that spinning someone is lots harder with the matching front and rear heights.

I like the fact that it has helped a few smaller teams get more competitive.

A safer car is always good.

I like the COT, but thats me.... Yeah it provides boring racing right now. But lets give them a chance to make the car better. This is only the first months or so, they are racing these cars under race conditions.. COT races will get better over time.... :)

I like the COT because it's safer. As long as the drivers are safe, it's ok with me. The races can get boring with the COT, but the COT is all about saftey.
