Numbers of speakers are general because there is no "accurate" count of languages in the world--it all depends on what you call a language and what you call a dialect.
Papua New Guinea has the most languages spoken of any country--about 700.
Indonesia is second with about 600 or so.
Other countries with over 100 languages spoken include (not in order) Nigeria, Ethiopia, India, China, Brazil, Congo (both of them), Cameroon, Australia, Vanuatu, Philippines, Peru (I think), Mexico, US, Russia (I think, but not certain). There are surely two or three others, but those are the one I can think of off the top of my head. See http://www.ethnologue.com/web.asp for a detailed breakdown based on one possible list of languages.

The USA is a melting pot where many languages are spoken. Even if you don't count the UN complex and tourists, we still have immigrant communities which keep a lot of their identity including teaching their children their own native tounge in addition to english. Also, there are the Native American communities, each with their own dialect, at least, but mostly different languages. The Innuit tribes in Alaska are usually forgotten as well.
This is not counting the "languages" created here for technical purposes.

There being about 170 different nationalities in Amsterdam alone, I would say the Netherlands-that is if people from different backgrounds keep speaking and using their native language!
